MakBookings is a travel marketplace product focused on agency listings, package discovery, booking requests, payment proof, vouchers and moderated marketplace operations.
My Role
Product designer, Laravel developer and marketplace architect
Purpose
Marketplace allowing travel agencies to publish Umrah, visa and holiday packages while customers compare and book.
Business Problem
Travel customers need a clearer way to compare packages and trusted agencies, while agencies need a digital channel to publish services and receive qualified inquiries without relying only on social media or manual messages.
Objectives
Help agencies publish structured travel packages.
Allow customers to compare Umrah, visa and holiday offers.
Support booking requests and payment proof workflows.
Provide admin moderation for marketplace quality.
Create a product foundation that can grow into a trusted travel discovery platform.
System Architecture

Security
Agency and admin accounts protect management workflows.
Agencies can manage their own data while admins control moderation.
Package, booking and review submissions require server-side validation.
Customer inquiry and booking details are handled inside authenticated workflows.
Agency data access is scoped so agencies do not manage another agency listing set.
Engineering Challenges
Balancing public package discovery with agency-level management workflows.
Designing a booking flow that can support inquiry-first travel sales instead of only instant checkout.
Creating moderation structures that protect trust without slowing down legitimate agencies.
